Retailers Who Know Photography

PMA, (Photo Marketing Association) has over twelve hundred members in Australia dedicated to helping customers with their photography.

The Association runs a special scheme to encourage high standards of photographic knowledge within the industry. Retailers dedicated to helping customers with their picture taking can apply to become a Certified Photographic Councillor. The written examination by the PMA is technical and far ranging. This ensures that those who pass can offer you the best level of photographic help. For your photographic advise, look for a store displaying the PMA logo.

Photo and Imaging Shows

Every May, PICA (Photographic and Imaging Council of Australia Limited) organises a major exhibition of photo and imaging equipment which alternates between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Don Burrows Photo Talks

Apart from his legendary work as a jazz musician, through the Arts Council and PICA, Don Burrows devotes considerable time to helping youngsters develop a better understanding and appreciation of both music and of taking photos.
